Mrs. Gordon (formerly known as Ms. Smeltzer) will be teaching third grade language arts during the 2017-2018 school year. Mrs. Gordon has been a teacher at Patterson Park Public Charter School for 6 years. She previously taught second grade and this is her fourth year teaching third grade. Mrs. Gordon graduated from Penn State with her B.S. in 2010. She then went on to receive her MAT from Johns Hopkins in 2012. In her spare time, Mrs. Gordon enjoys running, reading, playing kickball, and walking her dogs, Ryleigh and Charley.

Ms. Looker will be teaching third grade math for the 2017-2018 school year. This is Ms. Looker's fourth year at PPPCS. Ms. Looker is originally from Minnesota, but before coming to PPPCS spent four years teaching English and science in a bilingual elementary school in Madrid, Spain. Ms. Looker graduated from Ripon College with her B.S. in 2010 and has a M.S. in education at Johns Hopkins University. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Looker enjoys traveling, reading, and playing volleyball. She is also a fluent Spanish speaker.

Mr. O’Connell is in his eighth year at Patterson Park Public Charter School. Previously he taught with the New York City Department of Education and Savannah Country Day School. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Drexel University. Mr. O’Connell also enjoys American & World History, running, watching football, and spending time with his dog.
